Our family’s story begins in Jaipur, India — a city famed for its jewelers and vibrant gemstone trade. Here, our forebears became trusted custodians of fine gems, cultivating relationships with traders and artisans across Asia. Their devotion to rarity and integrity laid the foundation for a legacy that would span centuries.
1975 - Idar-Oberstein
In 1975, Raj Jain, the sixth generation of our family, carried this heritage to Idar-Oberstein, Germany — the European capital of gemstone cutting. With vision and resilience, he founded Caram, building a reputation for rarity, quality, and refinement among jewelers and collectors worldwide.
2013 - Hong Kong
Under Rahul Jain, the seventh generation, Caram expanded to Hong Kong — a global crossroads of the gemstone trade. Here, the house deepened its legacy by sourcing exceptional emeralds, rubies, and sapphires while offering valuation expertise trusted by collectors, insurers, and estate planners.
